Complementary Medicine Field Bursary Scheme 2010 - Call for Applications
The Cochrane Collaboration Complementary Medicine Field is pleased to announce our 2010 bursary scheme made possible through funds from the US National Institutes of Health, National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine. The purpose of this bursary scheme is to ensure that reviews relevant to complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) are completed and published in The Cochrane Library.

Two medical students who have been working with Dr. Andy Oxman of the Norwegian Knowledge Centre for Health Services are seeking information relevant to the development of a review of websites which aim to support the use of evidence in health policy. The review will focus on three types of websites which:- support evidence-informed health policy by providing easy access to health systems research or other relevant evidence;- promote or support the use of research evidence to inform health policy decisions;

As part of Evidence Aid, which is The Cochrane Collaboration's project to provide knowledge resources for people planning for, and responding to, natural disasters and other large scale emergencies, a collection of Cochrane Reviews has been put together on water safety and water-related diseases, in light of the devastating floods in Pakistan.

As per the recommendations put forward by the Strategic Review and as per the direction and approval of the Cochrane Collaboration Steering Group, the Marketing and Communications Working Group (MCWG) has recently developed a Request for Proposal which was distributed to key international marketing and communications firms on Tuesday, 17 August 2010.
